domain fontphile.com ???

Hey everyone.

Just picked up fontphile.com. was pretty surprised it was available actually. Will be a great site for graphic designers and anyone who loves typography. I guess it would make a good site for free fonts also.

Well I'm not familiar with term fontphile and also only ~ 40 google results so not so common word. But it's nice you have development ideas for it - you should realise them. Without development this domain alone is worth reg fee at most.

Fontphile would essentially describe a person who is interested in fonts, typography (for both web and print), and other graphic design related issues. A 'phile' is defined as "one having an affinity for or a strong attraction to" something. Such as a person who is into all things music and audio related would be an audiophile.

Agree that it would probably need to be developed to be worth a good amount. Thank you for the reply!

Excellent as a brandable name. The double-meaning is great to in "Phile" and "File".

I'd definetly develop this one if you have the means.

Anyone know how to get set up as a font distributor? I've found an affiliate program for fonts.com, but is only providing banners, etc.
