A few months back I paid $40 right here on NamePros for the domain Novelized.com

Today it sold as a GoDaddy Premium domain for $2,000, my cut being $1,601.31 after fees sent to my Paypal.

This is one of those names I sort of setup and then forgot about only to rediscover in my email this morning that it had sold :)

Just wanted to share a small success story, if you're trying to flip names, keep going!

I sort of blindly set a $2,000 BIN ("just for giggles") with the mentality of "that would be nice" not really expecting someone to really go through with such a high BIN. It was just a set price, not really an auction. GoDaddy takes a large cut on premiums but I'm happy with how everything turned out :)

Awesome!

Use some of that money to buy novelize.com and then sell it to your buyer. :D

Can confirm, I've bought at $x and flipped for $xxx on a few occasions myself. I'm sure there are plenty of success stories throughout the forum. That said, it's definitely not "easy" -- opportunities do arise now and again if you're vigilant, savvy and tad lucky. :D

Always is nice to get that email. This has happened to me several times, i like godaddy premium because it is a set it and forget it type thing.

Congrats on your sale, hope you get many more.

Yes GoDaddy only charges you in the form of a higher success fee if the name does sell, no upfront cost. You still "add to cart" and then your total is $0.00 and you checkout and then your name takes about a day to update as a "premium" and then you should be all good to go! I'm also looking for more "dictionary domains" in the price range of $100 to $500 if any of you want to send me your lists. Already bought a few from the messages I've received :)

Nice flip there!

Not to go too off topic but, How about if you didn't reg your names with GoDaddy, can you still list them on the GD market place and with premium tag? Are there any fees (listing domains tha were reg.'d else where)?

Thanks and again great sale!

Didn't pay for any additional features other than the "premium" which only charges you via a higher success fee
