Hi,

I listed a few domains on Flippa (free listings). After a few hours i got and accepted an offer, domain sold. Flippa sent me invoice "Flippa Success Fee". Should i pay this fee? I'm really confused.

Yes, after you receive payment from the buyer. Listing is free, but there is a fee when you sell.

If the buyer pays through Flippa then the invoice will be automatically paid and the funds will be automatically deducted from the money sent to you. If they pay outside of Flippa then you'd need to pay that once you receive payment.

On the free listing deals, what % of sales does Flippa take, or is it a flat fee?

Flippa charges 10% of sales price, so your domain sold for $120. The listing might be free but flippa does charge success fees of 10%

The flippa fee is 10%. How do you sell domain after a few hours?

:) Same here. Would also like to know how to get a domain sold after a few hours! I have done close to 10~15 listings on Flippa and none have sold as yet - I have had more offers on namepros forum for the same domains ;)

Flippa applies two different fees :

- Listing fee from 9$ up to 500$ ( or something like that )
- Success fee which is a percentage ( 10% ) of the price the domains was sold for.

When Flippa talks about fee free it is ALWAYS AND ONLY about listing ones. You will always have to pay the success ones unless the transaction is disputed.

Correct, but to make it crystal clear:
-- it's FREE to list your portfolio on Flippa (in what is currently deemed the Catalog section, soon to be known as the Portfolio section)
-- it's $9 to launch an auction, or push a Portfolio listing to auction, at any time
-- it's $5 to relist any auction, and we are exploring the possibility of waiving this fee in 2015
-- Upgrades for better exposure at auction cost more, which is what needs to be clarified (so listings are $9, not $9 - $500, but upgrades range from $9 to $349)
-- Success Fees are a flat 10% across the board for any domain sold on Flippa; there is no longer a minimum fee

Call it however you like them; they are still listing fees.

Hi kevin, have the 9 credit incentive been discontinued already?
Regards,
Josh.

Or you could contact one of their fine brokers with 100% track record to list it for you.
They just 15% but they "bust their ass" and contact c-level executives for you. They craft emails and get on the phone for you.

They will:
"write the descriptions, work my magic and get them sold for you."

They can:
"list mediocre names and sell them for $2k"

And sell names for more than they're worth.. more you say?
"Way more than they're worth"

I would love to know some good domain brokers who do this. I have a small portfolio of domains and feel atleast its something worth and have tried selling using the basic listing on Flippa but no success as yet.
