Flash Newb Question

Hi, I am trying to learn flash, and I am making some buttons for my website. I want a bar to move across and back, ONCE ONLY, but it loops instead. How do I make it not loop? I am using Flash 8. Thx for any help!

in the frame where you want it to stop, right click (on the timeline), and select actions. then type "stop;" in it

it doesn't seem to work, but I appreciate the help!

inside the movieclip, I go to the frame I want it to stop, type "stop;", and that's it right? Then I drag the movieclip to the "over" frame on the button? am I right?

in the keyframe that you want the animation to stop,type: stop(); for the scripting..
