Regarding a tip.....Always use the Duck test for reasoning. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

My Tips would be to read and learn about what makes a good domain name. Don't be afraid to ask questions and get advice from experienced heads within the industry. Preferably, get yourself a mentor who you can bounce questions and ideas off.

Welcome to Namepros. My tip would be to read as much as you can before investing any money and once you do decided to pull the trigger, just buy one name and get feedback. The worst thing a beginner can do is start buying names before learning what sells.
