Firefox & Live Streaming Madness

O.K....with Firefox, whenever i try to listen to something via live streaming.....firefox just goes crazy, It catches an attack and opens hundreds of pages one after the other after the other and I can't close them fast enough.
What's going on?? Some ff add on or something I have to downlaod??

Didn't you try reinstalling it ?

well, a few months ago I downloaded the update version. but I had this problem from the beginning of my using firefox. I went to a firefox forum board but they directed me to a page that had info relating to an earlier version and a link that did not work. ? i.e. what their talking about aint working.....i guess one day i'll find out, I went to geekstogo also; no reply..?
