.name must be "a person's legal name, or a name by which the person is commonly known." I'm not picking on the legalities, I'm saying that people will not look to that extension for whatever you put on that page or to type that word in...

I'm in agreement. only fire.com might be worth something but the .name is really for names of people so I guess ref fee to $50 if maybe someone finds it cool.

Ya, thats why i thought to get this, because no more major or minor tld available to register for "FIRE" %%-

well, the fact that no major TLD is available shouldn't make you register ANYTHING in .name/.ws/.cc and even .biz

If all major TLDs are taken (.com, .net, .org, .info, .co.uk), my next choice would be .us, and if its not too long and relevant, .mobi or .tv

But man...Fire.com would've been AMAZING. Just think of the branding opportunities...

LOL. When I said "something" It did sound like I meant xx . I just wasnt sure how high to say with fire.com so i figured just say something but yeah fire.com is worth a heck of alot more than something. And yes just becasue a domain is not avaliable in any extension does not add to its value, it just makes the .com even more valuable in my opinion.

And .NAME does not hold much value. I own PersonalFinance.Name and I know its probally worth $50 a most .. PersonalFinance.com would be worth 6-7 figures and its not avaliable in most extension.

The .name extention is the crappiest extention out there. Although this is a nice name, I'd say up to Low $xx
