Bud, I was in your shoes once. I remember the first time I ever posted my regfee names here on the NP appraisal forum years ago and was offended when I got $0 - Regfee appraisals.

I thought they were miserable and jealous trolls putting down my totally awesome potentially 4-5 figure regfee names that I snapped up the day before. But re-reading the advice now, and with some years under my belt in domaining, I realize that advice was so right on the money and they were actually helpful.

Just because something "sounds cool" to you or kind of "makes sense" doesn't make it valuable.

I won't sugarcoat it, FindSmoke.com is a brandable, not a generic, has no obvious or liquid value. It has the same value of a lotto ticket. If you put it at open bid, chances are it would end for regfee - low $xx

And if you're so confident that I'm wrong, put it on Flippa and see for yourself.

I've read a lot worse but I think you'd be lucky if you got a low $xxx offer.... compare it to FindMarijuana.com, FindBud.com, FindWeed.com, FindGanja.com, these are all registered and sitting for sale, chances are these guys are going to receive the real offers before your FindSmoke.com, if they even receive offers at all.

What type of business do you think would acquire FindSmoke.com, FindMarijuana.com, FindWeed.com, etc? They are the type of names that would be acquired by someone building a directory or has plans to simply promote affiliates. We are not talking booking hotels or flights here where things are a bit more complicated, the demand and market is huge and competitive and the payouts generous..."Finding Weed" or "Finding Smoke" is as simple as a Google search which is what whoever developing the name would be competing with. Affiliate promotion for 5-10% commission payouts = Big budget business? No. How much do you expect someone to pay for a brandable name for a niche with those type of numbers?

Long story short, Regfee - $xx, low $xxx on a very lucky day with all of the planets in your horoscope aligned.
