Ok, so I have a domain that is pretty good, and everyone seems to think I can get an amount that makes me happy for it - but with the caveat being it is best sold to an end-user.

I've never sold a domain before, so how do I go about finding end-users? How do I approach them?

Thanks guys.

Ask Rick Schwartz!. He just sold ireport.com to CNN for $750,000 :hehe:

This is what separates the great domainers from the rest, it's not an easy task and most of us on this board will probably never know how to really find end-users.

You could try contacting companies that are in the same field as your domain name!.

You can post here on the forum and hope that an end user for your domain snags it.

There's just no easy way to really find that genuine end user....IMHO

good luck

Thanks, let's try this then..
I've got several potential end-users, that is, companies/orgs that I think would be good candidates.

How do I approach them? Who should I be looking to talk to in a given org?

Just like websites promote their products to find targeted customers. Domainers have to target end users. Go to the company websites you think might be interested in them, and send an email off to them. How simple is that?

If your website is about forex/stocks. Find a large forex/stock site and email them to see if their interested in purchasing another domain. Be productive about it and you'll get results! Most domainers don't make contact, they just wad around on sedo or another domain listing website until someone comes around, which is why they fail miserably! =)

Funny thing is I'm not a domainer, but I'm sure I'm right. =)
