Receiving some interest in the name from a couple of different places. Registered it a while back to develop into a financial help site, but have not found the time. Trying to get an idea what it would sell for or if it would be worth keeping and trying to develop myself.

You've .com working for you here, but Financial Chef.com would only work if you developed it into something like:

Financial Chef.com - Recipes for Financial Success

Value: Reg fee but has development potential

I think it's a very clever name. Like most clever names, it's worth something only if you can find someone who appreciates the wittiness just as much as you do. If you have a serious buyer lined up, unload it now. I wouldn't expect more than very low $xxx at best.

domains like this, even though seemingly reg-fee to the masses, are the head scratchers on DNJournal that sell for $XX,XXX - if you have an offer go HIGH - the buyer must be motivated for this name as it is sooo niche

Appreciate the replies and agree that this one might have value for the right buyer. Originally registered it for development purposes and still am considering using it for that purpose unless I get a decent offer.

Not sure if it ever goes for the $XX,XXX level, but I have seen stranger things in the past for such niche names.

Chef is the common term for 'boss' in german and whilst the word 'financial' would be better as just finance (financechef.com is also available) as it is more commonly used, I can see this being of some value to a German company.
