filtering out certain forums from "new posts"

i was wondering if it's possible for members customize what shows up on their own accounts (without having to trouble rj) when they click "new posts". for example, someone might want to omit new posts from the .mobi, break room, programming, etc.

Although I rarely use that feature, a mod like that would come in handy for when I do. :tu:
