I love Middle Eastern architecture. I am atheist but nonetheless I can calm down totally in a mosque. There is a very peaceful, tranquilising thing about it. The architecture looks so amazing. Needless to say: my favourite city in the world is Istanbul, and the most beautiful place of all to me is the Sultanahmet Camii (the Blue Mosque) in the heart of the ancient area of Istanbul. I could spend hours inside there without being bored of it. I miss Turkey, I would so much love to move back there... Stupid working permits make it hard. I hope Turkey joins the EU soon, I'll pack my bags the same day and jump on the first plane.
As I adore Middle Eastern architecture, Jerusalem is a city I *must* visit as soon as my budget allows it. The whole city looks entrancing, especially the old part of town where some of the oldest mosques and synagogues can be found.
