Was thinking about parking it.
I've never parked a domain in my life. I can't see how any name other than a REALLY good one would get anything like enough visits to make it worthwhile.
If you compare it with Adsense, you would need 1,000 views to make £2. How long would it take to get 1,000 people typing in or visiting fastestprofit.com? You couldn't live that long and even if you did, you would make two quid.
I have had some good domain sales, my first was for £5,000 in 2000 for a hand reg. Different market then, but overall I lost money. I did make good money however, developing domains. I lived off my websites for ten years.
My most successful ventures were selling software products, written by myself, hatch patterns for AutoCAD and a PHP script for processing forms on websites.
With other sites, I put content or some sort of service on them (I did web hosting for a year) and sold them when they got some traffic, $1-2K. Sold several like that. I ended up selling the sites I was living off for $16K and $66K. Something I now regret as I have very little/no income and have to do a day job now!!!! Still of course got several sites on the go, one of which is getting quite busy.
I would say, put some content on a domain. Offer a service. Preferably about something you are interested in. Any domain name with some decent content on it, indexed on Google, getting some vists is worth WAY more than a parked name, and it doesn't take much work to add content if you know about your subject or if it's something you are interested in. NEVER EVER EVER buy articles. You will be one in a million going nowhere then.
I always write my sites from scratch. It's really very easy to make a page of text with images, particularly with the latest HTML5 which is the simplest of all HTML (you can show a video with one line of code, like an image). Doesn't need to be fancy, functionality and content are the only things that matter. I learned everything online through tutorials. Recently I learned Java and have four apps on Google Play, one with over 5,000 installs and getting some traction. Learned all that online as I went along.
The most successful websites are always labours of love where someone makes a site about something they really care about. Their passion and drive is infectous.
Good luck!!
