I know i had this domain up for appraisel earlier on, but this forum has grown since then and I would like to get some of the new members opinions. Any people who appraised the last time obviously welcome to appraise again.

"Autos" versus "Cars", I'd choose the latter. Patience with .US!

then of course you grab a design fee 200 to 500 as a SERVICE FEE

so the auction says you are bidding on THE MONTHLY payment to USE the domain for 5 or 10 years

we will HOST IT ON A HIGH SPEED SERVER in the monthly fee

we will design a site if you want (handling FEE if you want design work is 250 or 500 or what you think you're worth ours is 1K for 5 pages and 500 for a logo)

so the dudes that own auto businesses see a nice auto name and say damn I sell old vettes I would pay 50 bucks a month to put FASTautos.us on my business card

you could get multiple bidders then who knows what they'll pay per month

if the person doesn't want your design work then say find we get 3 months non refundable DP for the LEASE or use of the domain and to set up the server (takes 2 seconds if you have your own host)

anyway, throwing in a nice design and hosting makes any decent dom valuable

you can get your own server for what 99 bucks a month at rackforce.com or rackshack.com etc

if you play in domains, it's a must

names are valuable if they are developed

it only takes time and an end user that wants to use the name to make any dom worth something

If I owned this domain, I'de consider developing a FREE CLASSIFIED site. FREE TOO LIST your auto for sale.. but there is a small FEE too DELETE the item.

Revenue will be generated easily, as once the lister has SOLD the item, they will gladly pay the DELISTING FEE.. to stop the endless phone calls they are rec'ing on their ad.

.us covers the usa..
break the ad's down by state categories..
add a nice forum for auto buff's to exchange/network.. etc.

the most value for the name is a broker of exotic cars

for instance, back in the day when I used to sell auto software for AIS we were in the most expensive building on rt 130 near cherry hill

around the corner was a whole strip of exotic car brokers

I'd take the name right to the dealers where I bought over the years my

you go right to a broker of FAST exotic cars and you would get a big number for the name

now if you live in a major city you probably have a similiar area in town where all the young auto hustlers set up shop

they deal in slightly used ferrari's, lamb's, porches, vettes, etc

but if you don't want to WORK or you don't live in a major city with exotic car brokers then you throw it up on say ebay in the auto section and if you put it out as a package it will sell

development takes time

very few development projects ever make money

it's a decent dom and worth a small amount to the right group of end users

just go to one auction, that one with reggie jackson held in scottsdale every year

you could sell the name over and over to that crowd
