Faillisted domain

I have one .com and one .org domains. Same domain name. The .org is faillisted. The .com is under development. I have a temporary (shell) site on the .org. There are zero backlinks on the .org. Would it do harm to my .com if I were to redirect the .org to the .com? Would the .org be a good candidate to get unfaillisted?

I'm not 100% certain about Adsense, but other penalties (ie link penalties) can "infect" a new domain via a redirect.

Are you certain there are no links to the .org? What did you use to check?

I used Majestic SEO to check the links. I don't use Adsense on either of these domains. The .org was parked before being developed. Both are recent acquisitions.

If it's faillisted for parking it would also be faillisted for Adsense, but if you're not using that then it wouldn't matter, unless its carrying some other penalty.

Sometimes people spam a site/domain and block OSE/Majestic/Ahrefs - something to keep in the back of your mind.

Stub, I would not do either a 301 or 302 redirect from a fail listed domain name. It's too risky. In most cases, a 301 permanent redirect does pass on 90-98% of link juice. Now, even if your .org has no link juice or PR, I would still play safe and not redirect it.

@endlytend - I was under the understanding that parking faillisted was different to Adsense faillisted. Am I wrong?

Hmmm ...good question. Don't the faillist tests use the Google Adsense Sandbox to check ? Thought that's how they did it but I don't do much with parking these days so I could be wrong...
If the parking feed is Google, the source of the ads is the same as it is for Adsense (Adwords advertisers) so I would think it would apply to both. Its possible that parked domains have a different and stricter subset of rules, but if they think a domain's traffic is bad for their advertisers in one venue (parking), why would it be any better in another (website)?
