I planned a good logo for the domain f0otball.com. Unfortunately I cant insert here because of regulations but you can check it in my ebay sellpage if you search for "f0otball.com" in the ebay-searchbar. It contains a big result-screen-nil graphic in the second character as a zero. It is full green-colored and has zero similarity to football.com. I will add the catchphrase to it: "We lead 0ne-Nil"

Thank you for the warning and i see what you mean. But i think my case is not the "bad faith" case. Bad faith when I register for example "heyneken.com" or "mikrosoft.com" and hope that somebody mispell the original name. F0otball.com can be an own, unique brand with the character "0" in the logo shown as a ball or a stadium result screen zero (nil). The catchphrase can also contain that zero, for example: " we lead one-nil". I think it is clearly not a bad faith. What do you think?

I think Football.com's trademark covers anything related to football/sports/fitness/entertainment so your options of development are also limited. You have to make f0otball.com about something other than football/sports/fitness to stay safe.

I would say having the domain f0otball.com for sale on Flippa Marketplace is already demonstrating registration in bad faith. What will your defense be when Football.com trademark lawyers come knocking at your door? "Oh, I'm sorry, I'm new to domaining"?

i think many people here in domains market misunderstand the trademark issue since no one here seems to be a professional lawyer...they just talk about some thing they are not sure about it...in other word we need a professional lawyer to clarify the tm issue...in my opinion there is a big difference between the trademarked names and the generic words...the word (google)it has no meaning but it is a trademark and may cause some troubles if you registered g0ogle.com as example or googlesite.com...but the word (business)is a generic word can not be trademarked...so if you registered businessprofessional.com would that make a legal problem??i don't think so...the same point about the other words forex-trade stock-football-sport ..etc..

What do you think about my planned logo? (my avatar) Can it be a good brand? It is not professionally-designed,but it is a good basic for the future owner to develop.It has ZERO similarity to the above-mentioned trademark/brand! And clearly contains that difference-maker "0" and a clear catchphrase which also put that zero in spotlight. What's your opinion? Can it be a good brand? Thanks for all the answers! Still the answer is no. Who in their right mind is going to use the f0otball.com domain to brand anything outside the football/sports area. A perfume manufacturer maybe? But we are clutching at straws here. Nobody is going to want football misspelled with an 0 in it? Nobody. But wait a minute. HugeDomains have f00tball.com for sale for $2195. So maybe the trademark argument is not as clear as it might be But I suppose there is always the argument you might sell this domain to a bigger fool. My advice would be to seek a refund on this domain. Not to try to convince experienced domainers of the value of this domain. There are much better domains out there, 5-8L.com for example, for you to apply your tenacity to than a crap domain like f0otball.com. BTW, Estibot values this domain at $0. Estibot doesn't get it right most of the time. But I'd say they are right on the button with this valuation
