Right now, .us keywords are still cheap, selling for a fraction of a fraction of what the eponymous .com goes for. They're akin to the futures market for domains.

Buying .us names is betting on the TLD eventually gaining broader acceptance.
If you aren't developing for earnings, you have to view them as long term investments.

The name domain is okay.. however i think it is too specific, MAKEUP would be an amazing domain to have.. Unless you plan on creating a simple minisite.. I'd say low $xxx
