External Text Help needed

Hi all

I am new to this forum and to web design realy i know some basics btu neeed some help with this if poss..

I want to Creat a WEb Page where a web page pullls in text from an external text file..

so a freind of mine can chage the text in the web page without messing up the code etc...


in other words he can edit the text file upload it through ftp and the web page will change Its content to the new text...


Is there away fo doing this if so could somone let me know either..

(1)How this is done

(2) what is this called so i can research it some more... through help files etc

(3) let me know where the tutorials are for this idea

you have to use php then u can call external txt file

but actully html is also modified by many newbie coders....so he can use notepad.. if in ur html page there are lots of coding.. and you want him to edit specifi area only then you can choose iframe of ssi templates for it
