These are some seriously warped appraisals. Expire.com. Nice domain, no question. Very nice.
But $xxx, xxx? No way. Who's going to pay that much for it? One of the folks who appraised it? Nope. There isn't some domain fairy in the sky that comes down and buys domains for 8 million dollars just because they're a decent one word .com.
Look at the word expire. Low google for a one worder, low overture, low paying keyword. As far as the credit card or domain argument..well, they're both flawed.
Why would a credit card company want a domain called expire.com? I don't see that.... As far as a domain company - I assume we're talking about a droplist service or a backorder service? Wouldn't expired make more sense? The domains are expired, not expire. Past tense. Also, why would they shell out 800 million dollars or whatever the appraisals were for up top for something that doesn't mention their service? Expire isn't very descriptive.
Realistically, if you can get a $12k+ offer, you're doing very well and would not be wrong to take it. You could possibly get $25k, just by the innate deception of a single word .com, but I wouldn't count your chickens. The domain is NOT worth that, but it could sell for it.
This, of course, is my opinion, and it's a great domain, but please don't buy a Porsche because these appraisals above say you have a $xxx, xxx value domain.
Good luck!

do you know what xxx,xxx means? its not millions it hundreds of thousands...and the domain could easily fetch 100k on a site like greatdomains or sedo imo...

johnny - I'm with you (or you're with me!)

Good luck though - but take a deep breath everyone!

I tend to agree with johnny6 ~ I like the domain a lot !!! - But I like it because the word Goes with the Domain Business (Expire/Expired/etc ...) - Sadly Domain related Terms DO Not Sell very high.

This word has pretty much no Ovt Results and the Domain has No Mktlp Results ???? - The only PPC results found were on Google (Doesn't Really count because google seems to throw Certain ads {Ebay etc ...} at terms when there are no results) Kind of a Catch-all ~

"Wot" - Don't think we're Trashing your domain - It is a Fine Dictionary Word .com !!! - We just don't want you to get carried away with some of these Appraisals ~

IMHO ~ You may have been on the mark to turn down the 2k$ offer (It has Potential) - But in this Market you will have to develop it to get much more than that

Good Luck ~ Nice Domain !!!

Very nice domain. The appraisals are already so spread apart. Some say millions, some say a couple of thousands. Now, I SAY, it's around MID $$,$$$, :imho:.

Great domain, with extremely high potential.

Great Work and Good Luck!

No, please enlighten me. <------ This is "Sarcasm".

Booby doobdy doobdy doo. Anyways, my point in the exagerrating was to show how bloated the appraisals were.

And that is one weird trademark. Don't know what to say about that.

Good luck selling it, it's a dandy.

Yes - when you are in a hole the best thing to do is stop digging!

This should be really good for your reputation on the forums- my final comment on this subject!

I have two "anything else's" for you, Chris:

1. Why did you post a pointless bad reputation for user "qwert" and tried to make it look like it came from user "collieri"? 10 warning points sent for this offense.

2. Stop pulling our leg with childish claims and offers. We all know you don't have $25,000, one dozen two-letter domains, and 100 3-letters. 5 warning points sent for this last of many previous stunts.

Just five more points and its goodbye. Can't say you weren't warned.

A very nice Name.

The people who have said its worth 50k, 100k and 1 million have no idea of domain prices.

The domain is a good domain keyword, but what could it be used for, revnue would be limited, drop lists etc are free out there now snapcheck.com, and we have the same kind of problem with deleted.com but hopefully i have found a good idea (coming soon)

I would say the name is worth around $5,000 - $10,000 usd for a reseller, and there is not much of a market for a end user as the domain community is mainly resllers and the only ones who would devlop.

Anything over $10k usd would be a good price.
