I was originally thinking it was for the upcoming market of wearable phones, like the Apple Watch. But that is a trademark for a Chinese company. But then I also see it as a news type site that reports on what happens in the electronic industry as in The Electronic Watch.

With regards to the TM, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Chinese company loses its mark over time as the term becomes ubiquitous for all smart watches.

I don't see any value. Try to sell it on flippa, you may have some luck.

Thanks. I'm not really interested in selling at this time, was just curious on ideas.

I did have a good laugh at your comment though, and absolutely no disrespect meant. I really do appreciate your taking the time to respond. I laughed because the lunacy of this business just sort of hit me with your post.

Even Flippa cannot absorb all the fresh regs from domainers.

Same here, little to no value.
You may or may not get a few bucks on any auction, including here.
But do waste time developing the domain into a site.
Since all the ewatch in all other extensions are up for sale, no developed sites.
Should tell you something of the worth when no one wants the domains, got them up for sale.

Thanks. IMO, there is no such thing as wasted time when it comes to site development. Especially when you have a keyword like "watch" with 135K searches and a $3.6 CPC. In fact, I guess I had missed that search volume (or more likely forgot) as to me this is a great candidate for development while waiting to see if a market develops as e-watches begin to assimilate into our everyday lives. No developed sites doesn't mean a thing to me as there are so many people that only buy and never develop. I was in that group myself until just recently, so I totally understated it.

Your last statement furthers my chuckle about the lunacy of this business. To you it means one thing. To me, when everyone has them up for sale it means that other people also thought the domain had enough potential to justify registration. Extrapolating that into the whole population and it means there is more than enough possible interest to do something with it at some point. I guess its the old glass half full vs half empty scenario and i'm always in in the half full camp, perhaps to a fault.

Of course it could also mean that there are five or six super lazy people out there :)

Again, my saying is this and it applies here:
If one asks for an appraisal, then denies the appraisals by explaining the domain and what it really is worth?
The domain is still crap.
So laugh on and go for your dream.

Wow dude, relax. I thanked you for your opinion and said nothing to disagree with the value. I clearly stated that the following was MY OPINION and that I don't see developing ANY SITE as a waste of time. Had nothing to do with the appraisal, we were now talking about developing. It was a generic comment about developing vs not developing. Its ok if you don't agree, there are no right answers. I surely don't know whats right for you or anyone, only me. You may want to reread that sentence again and see how it might apply to you.

I was laughing in general and in response to an earlier comment, not at your specific opinion. What I found funny has nothing to do with you specifically, just about the industry, as I said. In domaing you can find so many different opinions and none of us really knows. We all have different ideas and visions, skills and experience. Its not like there is a Kelly Blue Book for domains. Like many things, the value is in what you can get someone to pay. I am an extremely good salesman and could sell anything to anyone, but that still doesn't mean I know anything about value. I think its funny and I enjoy the diversity. You have plenty of domains that I think are a waste of reg fees, but that doesn't mean you wont find a buyer who thinks they are the best thing ever. And no matter how poor I think your names might be, I would never be so rude, coarse and disrespectful as to say anything you own, or anyone else, is "crap". But then I do have a very large vocabulary so maybe that's the reason, I don't know.

Get over yourself and learn to laugh at observations on life, you will live longer.

P.S. Never mind, I just read some of your blog and it all made perfect sense. Please ignore my comments offering constructive criticism, I know they wont help. Your way is the only way. Thanks for commenting. :)

cocaseco, I think you need to learn some respect and professionalism and learn not to insult people that give you an appraisal you don't want to hear, we see people like you on here all the time and none of them last long

As for an appraisal, I cant see any value in this one

maybe Watch.io would have some value, but not eWatch

Companies don't lose a TM because a term becomes popular, it just makes their brand stronger, if they really could lose it, I'm sure TMs like Apple, Orange etc would have been taken away ages ago

Don't waste your time with .io names, unless you can get a nice strong keyword...examples of previous sales

Doc.io
$26,000

SEO.io
$11,000

Sports.io
$11,000

Food.io
$10,000

SMS.io
$7,500

Movie.io
$6,500

Pay.io
$6,100

Please don't reply explaining what I am wrong and what "YOU" really think, you asked for an appraisal and I gave you one, just take all the above appraisals and learn from them, whether they are positive or negative

Good luck in the future
