Hello everyone...

I originally wanted this domain about a year ago but it took a little waiting to get it... I made a list of over 100 .com domains that I thought were really good and then went out to buy my favourite one, which is how I got it.

What would you think it's worth?

I'd say low 5 figures at the very least.

This would make an excellent social network - take on fb. :p

Good Luck.

Thanks for your appraisals. I have a really good plan for this name :)

I am thinking more like Mid $XX,XXX+

It is perfect for branding a social networking site.

Agreed. Mid $xx,xxx. Good acquisition and best of luck with the site!

Would guess 15k.

This is a nice name, however it's awkward in terms of marketing. What does a consumer/visitor think when he thinks of the word "everybody". I see lots of enthusiasm for this domain, but my estimate is marginally lower.

Mid to High $x,xxx (reseller). IMO.

Just curious..

Why do you think it would be worth a lot less or more than what it was when you bought it about a year ago?

I think the xx,xxx answers are awesome because it that's basically a +10 -90% margin which is a typical software SWAG.

The thing is that I agree with Microguy. Everybody what? Jump? Wang Chung?

It's a VERY VERY GOOD generic name but isn't great without a lot of development muscle and money. If you have lots of development muscle and money you can make GOOGLE or FACEBOOK seem awesome.

I would imagine this is something that has some VC would look to acquire. 20-50K is within reason for those users.. Maybe more...

Caveat: I know nothing.

If it was bought by private sale the prior sale price could be way out in either direction.

It is a typical brand type domain as opposed to being a product name (which is what alot of one word .com's are). I don't see how it is comparable to a google or facebook situation where the name would have been worthless with no development.

Hey there guys, I guess the reason for the appraisal request was that I had been so excited with the purchase that I wanted to know if I went with my heart or my head as this domain means the world to me... But by going with your appraisals I think I was spot on the target price. :)

Didn't mean to compare it to those two from that point of view....All I was saying was that it is a brandable generic. Anyone with serious money to play doesn't need to be overly concerned with what that brandable generic is.

everybody.com might seem to be worth $xxx, xxx but it is not worth it to someone who has development team that decides.. you know what? Focky.com works too.

I think it's an awesome domain name though

Yeah, it is definately not worth that kind of money. Could get a much better name for 6 figures.

Nice domain, yet at the mercy of the now acceptable practice of pulling an otherwise worthless 5 or 6 char out of your butt and seriously developing it.

Certainly worth more 5, 10, 12 years ago when ".com" was still a part of brands.

Facebook is Facebook. Not Facebook.com.
MySpace is MySpace. Not MySpace.com.
LinkedIn is LinkedIn. Not LinkedIn.com

Domains are more about brands than ever. Can Everybody.com be simply Everybody? Is that word strong enough as a brand for a developer to pay the money for this that one would think it might be worth at first glance?

Estibot says Everybody.com is $26K.

Personally, I think Everyone.com is nicer for a social media site.

As another user said, its best for a social networking site,

I like it, I'm also thinking social network site of some type, though could be also branded into other areas, some type of "movement" or similar.

I'm going with low $XX,XXX.
