domain Estimate Question

Hello there, I was on a computer apprasail system on domaintops.com, and it said that the site P104.com is appraised at around $1000= dollars.
Why would a domain name like that be estimated to be worth that much?
Would there be any demandof a domain name like that at all?
OR is it just a silly estimate?

Just a silly estimate. No one in his right mind would pay that much for P104.com. I'd say that's worth reg fee.

DomainTops is not programmed to appraise domains intended to be valuable for a short length, so the appraisal was indeed too high.

Low $xx ... sorry I will work on DomainTops tomorrow if I have some time. It really needs it

The appraisal may be based on the voodoo domain astrology system seen so often these days. It's a 4 char that starts with a P. There are only so X number of these so they are worth Y. The sum of the last 3 digits is 5. There are only X number of these so this increases the value by Y. There are an equal number of binary 1's and 0's in the bits that compose the ASCII characters used in this domain, which multiplies the value by 3.752, etc, etc.

Or it could just be a wild guess like all the other appraisal systems out there

Prima, a few things. ... A) This isn't some voodoo domain astrology system - it'll hopefully be one of the "smartest" out there soon. It actually compares Google and soon OVT results, and when I finally finish this, MUCH MUCH more. It is DEFINATELY not a wild guess. You should not criticise a system that is not even done yet...
