Has anyone tried this?

Elliot plugged it yesterday on his blog, but before I spend the over priced fee of $49.95 to subscribe, (I'd like to read some reviews, so please share.

Hopefully its not as erratic as their appraisal tool.

Federer once hinted on using it, not so sure though becuase it's been really long. If you can send him a PM, that would be cool to get it from the horse's mouth.

Hi

I subscribed to the Estibot Leads tool for 1 month, around 5 months ago, and here's my take on what I found.

From what I could see it provides the bulk of the Lead information from those websites it found in the PPC ads on Google and I also noticed a few Leads from MSN organic search and what it calls DNS.
The DNS leads are those that are 'similar' in the domain registry e.g. if you entered MyBusinessServices.com it would also include information if it found other sites with exactly those keywords in the domain registry, and not necessarily in the same order as 'MyBusinessServices'.

So theoretically it should pull out a LOT of potential leads based on the criteria it sets itself. However I did not find this to be the case.

I have my own 'manual' process of pulling leads from the major search engines and although a little laborious I always managed to out perform the Estibot Leads tool. That's not to say that because it gave me a smaller list is a drawback. If you want a quick fire way to generate a list then use it but don't expect it to generate the most comprehensive list of potential end users. That in my opinion can only be achieved by using both Manual and Automated processes.

1. It does provide a very comprehensive report with lots of data. It could be argued whether all the data is really useful for decision making but for the record it includes information like Alexa Traffic Rank, Alexa Trend, Alexa Link Popularity, PageRank.
I can email you a sample Excel report if you like. Just PM me your email address.

2. There is an option on the tool to email potential end users. I must admit I did not test this at all so I can't comment on it. One of the main reasons I didn't is because I use an email service that allows me to send out an email one-by-one that includes an Unsubscribe link.

3. And one other major irritant for me is that I am based in the UK and I could not find an option to let me get end user data for my region. As I buy/sell both .com & .co.uk this was a major pain in the a$$.
It may well be that they have improved this feature or I am a bit stupid and could not find out how to get results for my region only, but be aware that you'll need to double check this if you plan to find end users outside of the .com area.

4. One thing you have to note is that the tool pulls data from Google based on the 'keywords' that form the domain you have entered i.e. the domain you are looking to sell so it will only pull leads based on those keywords. All this makes sense but you need to be a bit more creative in some circumstances, as you would if you were doing potential end user lead research directly via Google.

Let me give you an example:

I have a domain called FinancialClassroom.com . When that was entered on the Leads tool I only got back a small few leads. I think it was less than 10 leads. So to get more leads I needed to then come up with what other keywords would make more sense to the tool/Google i.e. if you type in Financial Classroom as a keyword in Google you won't get many results, so I could get more Leads. So I entered FinancialTraining.com as the domain and it then returned a much higher number of potential leads.

So, just like a lot of online tools you need to be feeding it the right information to get the most from it.

The bottom line for me is that I can pull up a larger list of potential leads using my own 'slower' methods and I am sure if I also used Estibot Lead generator I would pull out a few more that I hadn't found myself. And as such could not justify the monthly subscription.

So for me it isn't the 'ultimate' end user lead generator tool and I don't think anything like this can be automated to 100% efficiency anyway. But if all you want is a quick fire way of generating a list of 'some' of your potential end user domain buyers then by all means use it but for me a much bigger list can only be obtained by doing a manual search yourself PLUS a tool like Estibot Leads.

Hope that is of some use and by all means PM me if you need an example Leads report I mentioned above.

I've used it before and it's very similar to the Lead Generator tool at Dropping..I would have to say it provides the same details you could easily get yourself by doing some google searches and whois queries. The nice thing about these lead generation tools is that they make it allot quicker and easier. If you're all about saving time them they can be worth it. At the same time, they aren't absolutely required in order to make sales!
