If I use Escrow*com the fee for selling a domain for $800 is $26. If I go through SEDO the fee would be 10% or $80. Is there any advantage in using SEDO instead of Escrow?

I can say I prefer Escrow.com (I mean when I sell domain not listing for sale at Sedo). But if you're involved in bidding process and already accepted an offer via Sedo - I guess you've no choice as using Sedo Escrow.

Based on my limited experience no would be the answer for escrow services.

Sedo does domains, and pretty much only domains. That's the one "big" advantage.
Escrow is cheaper in this instance... probably still do Sedo, just for the "simplicty" factor.
If you've used one and not the other before, stick with the one you're familiar with.

I have never sold a domain before. I now have an offer via E-mail. I have checked it out and it is a legitimate offer -legitimate company. I'm just wondering which way to go. It is parked at Sedo. Has anyone here sold a domain through Escrow? If so how did it go? The difference of $54 has me tempted to try Escrow.

Can you use Paypal on Sedo?

I do have a paypal account. If this offer would have came through SEDO, I would of course go through them to acknowledge their help in advertising my domain. This was through my "Who is" information and not through SEDO so I wouldn't feel guilty about using Escrow.

From my experience of using Escrow.com some time ago, there is also a bank charge of $40 added onto the fees, at least to get the funds sent internationally to the UK.

If I use Sedo there are no bank charges for remitting funds to the UK.
