you got yourself a gem!!! it has dozens of markets/niches that "eq" refers to. horses (equine), steroids-"eq" is a common type of steroid...the list goes on

You do realize that 'EQ' is short for Emotional Quotient?
Its called the 'new' IQ, since companies etc. now use EQ tests to grasp an employee's professional abilities. Its also replaced IQ tests as the test of choice, since it tests people's 'human' quotient, rather than just intelligence.

IQ.net would've been worth atleast 100k
I figure EQ.net would be atleast >50k

VF, TY, are just LL.nets

EQ is a very strong keyword. Its almost 10k OVT, and actually means something, especially since the EQ test is gaining more and more relevancy and popularity as the IQ test is being deemed as too 'primitive'.

I'll stick to my guns and appraise this as still over 50k, provided the owner markets it as 'EQ - Emotional Quotient" and not as something else.

You would agree with me when I say that IQ.net would sell for over 100k, right?

sure EQ could stand for the Emotional Quotient test, but apart from that, as simply acronyms, the Q really hurts.

My TY has 122 mil google vs EQ at 63 mil google (close to my VF at 54 mil)
Also, TY has 20 000 overture while EQ only has 10 000 (and VF at 7500)

so more people are looking for TY than EQ, Ty is more commonly used than EQ, but I can't seem to sell my TY,net for 25k$ no matter how hard I try (also, TY is a first name)

all this to say, I may be conservative with my appraisal, but I don't think it's worth 50k$

to me, the only way of getting "big bucks" with this name is to find someone in the Emotional Quotient business.

don't get me wrong, I love 2 letter .nets, but the problem is that others don't seem to love it as much as we do

Perhaps you have a point here. The past LL.net sales don't look the most encouraging in terms of value. Some good letters went for quite less.

But like I said, the 50k price would be for an end user, and there are many players in this test market. Although I'm still in college, some graduate friends of mine have been asked to take EQ tests in their job interviews.

Looking at the stats, I'll retract my appraisal of 50k...but I'll still maintain that its possible...

Well, I've all ways known a EQ as being for equalizer.

Back in the day if someone say had an Alpine Head Unit (Receiver) With a nice equalizer, it would be said to be a nice EQ.

Man, I dunno about 2 letter values in the .net but can say I'd pay $8,000 as soon as tomorrow but remember I'm pretty SAFE (cheap) so I'm sure it may be worth more to some one.

Now I remember you from around. The Ty.net is the one I remember you wanting $40-50k for.

Since two letter .com seem to range from $90-250k I'd say $5-20k for the .Net

Just a shame there's such a price difference there, but it is what it is.

People throwing prices out there is one thing, dishing it out's another.

I'm not really disagreeing with you but you'd be surprised at the people who don't want to take the time to bargain.

Many serious buyers make an offer or two and that's it (final) and the extra $10-15k could make many potential buyers to not offer at all.

agreed. The people who have the clout to buy names for >50k, as well as the people who have names that are worth >50k might not really have the time to bargain.

Perhaps this is one area where domaining differs from conventional sales.
