why is aqyre.energy now sue aqyre.com?

It isn't just about domain names here but an interesting read for sure.

Guess this would be referring to the invoicing mistakenly being sent to incorrect parties or what-not? You know, imo, these kind of mistakes should fall squarely on the shoulders of the consumer/customer- why does the onus of "confusion" completely fall upon the DN holder? A little due diligence on Regular Joe's part, we wouldn't have any of this crap.

So upon first look, guess we have two different entities that came up with the same brandable-type name with just about a year of one another. These things happen, often "light-bulb moments", be it naming or other innovations, go off for more than one in a very close time period.

Hard to say who will win, they are both totally different industries one being real estate the other an energy company. But the energy people had the name first, if that what it comes down to. They've also took aqyreenergy/com about a month before the new gTLD version.

why didn't they register .com in 2016?

Seems to be some history with it. 2017 isn't the first time its been registered. Maybe at the time it wasn't avail as a hand-reg or they weren't able to contact the owner.

The com owners will prevail...meaning they will retain their name (hopefully they can successfully counter sue).

Suing someone is easy...it is the winning that is hard. The energy peeps are just getting a taste of sour grapes for a few reasons I imagine.
