That was a more reasonable appraisal, however still very low.
I would say eMega.com is worth $5,000

P.S. I have already received an offer of $3,000 for eMega.com because I tracked down the right buyer and found an EMEGA company called eMegaCorp.com

WOW. Nice appraisal there. Yes, quite intersting because thats exactly what I am doing with eMega.com- Web hosting company. Nice appraisal, may I add that you were really right on the ball in every comment you had made.
There are alot of eMega companies, I have done my research and found that eMegaWeb is actually a Web hosting company as well.
Right on the ball in stating that eMega may need to be developed in order to fetch top dollar unless you find an end user already using that name and desperate to grab the domain(there must be dozens of emega companies out there - I'd definitely contact them all)
I did and I found eMegaCorp.com willing to pay $3,000

You are extremely accurate.
Actually ivoy, you may want to take a look at eMega.com right now before the nameservers are down, as the domain is actually being transfered to another Web hostnig company called HgihWirePCS.com which is going to be changing their name to eMega.com and will be partnering with me in redeveloping their site plus add a lot more.

Great Job.

eMega could be worth low $xxxx IMO, just since it sounds great and easily memorable/brandable.

Great domains, good luck!

To clarify, you now own emega.com but not erupt.com?

Emega.com is a good domain name, but I would probably not have bought it for resale given the numerous entities with prior use of it as their trademark/servicemark. Actually, if it were very inexpensive, I would have purchased it, but been prepared to lose my investment if trademark issues arose. As such, if you have an offer above your purchase price, I would take it.

However--- if the other Emega's are in non-related lines of business, and you are interested in using the name as your own site (that is, you are the end user), it's a really fine name. Regards!

I'll refrain from appraising erupt.com, since it's owned by someone else.

eMega.com is a nice domain, and to a motivated enduser should be worth at least mid-$X,XXX, specially if you can get a competitive auction going. Good luck!

I do not seem to understand why you think eMega.com is infringing on anyones trade mark. It would be nice if you can explain why you think that it is infringing on someone's trade marks.
Thank you for the post.

Any more thoughts/appraisals on the domain are much appreciated.

EMega Technologies has registered the name at the Secretary of State in Ohio, though apparently not in the United States national database. EMega, Inc. has registered the name for conducting business in California. I would suggest examining the others' use of the name to make sure your intentions are different and clear from those existing claims. If you plan to keep your domain, I suggest hiring a lawyer to work on registering a trademark within your country of residence.

By the way, in my previous note, I stated "I would have purchased it" --> that is a hypothetical statement, as I was unaware of the domain name until this thread. It's still a nice domain, and you should be able to acquire some good value out of it. Good luck.

Yes, eMega inc. was the party which actually offered me $3,000 for it. Anyhow I would not consider eMega as an infringing/dangerous name. Keep in mind that both eMegaTechnologies and eMega inc. are not extremely large companies, so no risk here.
If you want to see infringing, please visit coby.com
eMega is not infringing, although I do see where you are coming from since the prefix "emega" is very popular on the internet.
Thank you for your appraisals. :)

I don't think there could be anything Emega, Inc. could do about your domain name anyway. For example, if eMagicians, Inc. wanted to make a website, they couldn't sue eMagicians.com for infringing upon their copyright. You can simply say your website is a site for magicians, and only contains the prefix 'e' for web-related purposes. eTrading, eShopping, eClothes.. All the same. If the case went to court, you'd win.

Thank you for the post.

Any more thoughts/appraisals on the domain are much appreciated.

I found no trademark issues on emega without space and searching with a space revealed these results none of which contained the 'e' at the beggining.

eMega.com - Sounds like an emegastore sort of like a mall (such as amazon) that is what I think of not really hosting but maybe my mind thinks differnetly, hehe. I would say around low-mid $xxxx is a good appraise due to brandability and the many uses.

That was an interesting appraisal. Yes, I do see that many people have said the eMega would work well for a web hosting company.

Any more thoughts and appraisals are greatly appreciated.
