Curious, is the Echo Mod Team user a bot?

I have a small issue but seem to get copy paste generic replies that avoid changes.

Thank you

basically I went to list a domain (been a while). Applied to top tier, rejected because had a 3rd party link ( registrant email from copy pasting whois ) was reason given my echo. I was told that was the reason, while I disagreed and would rather it be deleleted/edited closed I edited the email out, hoped that would mean good to move to top tier and.... no generic 3rd party policy response and a edit lock of thread lol

I really wish the Top Domain section was handled with more care.

To me a domain that is approved for namePros top domains is a much stronger metric than just hearing BB/SH approved. Forget all of these arbitrary appraisal threads, I just want to know if it's top-tier approved at namePros!

I had a domain denied

(pink girl)

that I paid $,$$$ for and there wasn't much reason given...

Maybe it was rightfully rejected (idk, I disagree) but the way it was handled prompted me to go on a 20 minute reporting rampage disputing the value of other top tier domains citing auction prices under $1,000 for domains that didn't really make sense as top tier; some reports resulted in listings being removed from top tier.

Here is what ChatGPT says -

The Echo Mod Team on NamePros.com is not a bot. It is an account used by multiple moderators to respond to queries, manage the forums, and handle user issues. This approach allows them to address a variety of concerns more efficiently by sharing the workload among several team members. The account posts replies to users' questions, provides guidance, and enforces forum rules, but these actions are performed by actual human moderators, not an automated system (NamePros).
This is scary accurate :ROFL::xf.laugh:
Thank you so much. I needed that

I have been fortunate enough to avoid a lot of red tape or hassle to get listed in top tier in the past. However it is a very subjective forum to get listed in. As someone who has made a career in this space I can see how issues can arise. I usually ended my messages to Mods with " Don't you know who I am " or " Do you know who you are talking to " I find this helps a lot. I am joking of course ;)

Since you made this matter public, let's recap for full transparency:
Curious, is the Echo Mod Team user a bot?
Not the last time I checked :)
I have a small issue but seem to get copy paste generic replies that avoid changes.
It looks like Bravo Mod Team already addressed that below.
Fair criticism. It can seem that way because we've been responding to the same questions and issues for over a decade. As a result, we have a lot of templates that we use to save us time.

Rest assured, the only automated responses by bots that you'll receive from us is if you try to email us.

We don't like email for support purposes. ๐Ÿ˜

Hey man, basically I went to list a domain (been a while). Applied to top tier, rejected because had a 3rd party link ( registrant email from copy pasting whois ) was reason given by echo. I was told that was the reason, while I disagreed and would rather it be deleted/edited closed than in wrong forum I edited the email out, hoped that would mean good to move to top tier and.... no generic 3rd party policy response and a edit lock of thread lol

No thank you for editing out the link we will move now. Not a huge deal really I will live.
Our reply in the support thread you started was as follows:
Hello,

We can see by the move note/alert that your listing was not selected for the Top Domain section and that it was moved to the external domains for sale section due to the 3rd party contact email you have in the listing, rather than having members contact you internally via the listing or direct message.

All 3rd party contacts and 3rd party sales references are required to be in the external domains for sale section as outlined in the following rule:

6.1.9. Do not mention or post any external links in sales listings except in the External Domain and Website Sales, Adult Advertising and External Sales, or Promotional sections. Links to content on NamePros will be considered external links if they appear to be an intermediary to bypass this rule (e.g., never link to a second thread that promotes an external website).

We hope that information helps.
You then replied with:
So to be clear it was not selected as a top tier domain because it included an email, MY personal email. The email of ownership. I just want to be clear that is the reason. If it is in fact the reason please delete the sales thread completely until a common sense approach to policy is taken on NP's behalf to stop such stupidity. Thank you
Since there is not a deletion option we honored your removal request by editing it and commented the following:
Hello,

Please read our Help page regarding the Top Domain section: https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-selection-process-for-top-domains.1047414/

Keep in mind, a 3rd party email takes the negotiating and sale of the domain off of NamePros, where members generally negotiate in a direct message (Internally). By taking the conversation and negotiation off NamePros it becomes a 3rd party listing.

NamePros moderators cannot use 3rd party communications in our internal investigations, so keeping all negotiating and communications internal helps protect both; buyers and sellers in the event a dispute arises.

Unfortunately, there is not a deletion option, however, we were able to edit the domain out of the listing and close it for you.

We hope that helps.
You then edited your comment requesting we remove/delete the thread and commented with:
I removed the email, why is this response so generic in nature, is this a bot or person I am communicating with?

I will ask once more, please now move the listing to top tier, it fits the criteria and the email has been edited/removed.

Do not delete or close down the listing, simply move it.

Thank you
Our most recent reply to you was:
It looks like you edited your previous comment, which clearly asked us to "please delete the sales thread completely". Since there is no deletion option, we edited out to honor your request.

You then edited your comment, after we honored your request.

The listing will not be moved to Top Domains since it was not selected.

Please re-read the following guide regarding Top Domains: https://www.namepros.com/threads/the-selection-process-for-top-domains.1047414/
That should catch everything up for full transparency in your public thread.

I suppose I can see where some portions of the replies that quoted rules and guides may seem to be bot like, however, I fail to see where the rest falls into bot responses.

We hope the above recap helps clear things up a bit and provides the answers you were looking for.

@Echo Mod Team You spent more time on this breaking it down than saying, great you removed the email (3rd party link) we will move that over for you now.

Also just because I was editing a response at the same time you replied or acted does not mean you get to ignore it or a further responses asking you to not do so or I had an idea. My last reply literally ends...

"Do not delete or close down the listing, simply move it."

Has that happened? have you reversed it after reading that? No but you have time for the above.

So to this point the listing remains edited locked and not moved. But you or whomever had time for the above, congrats! And now I see you added the name will not be moved to top tier because not selected... since when was that decided? The excuse prior was I had a 3rd party link ( my email ). Now another excuse after asking if a bot? TISK TISK 2 hours after starting this thread you decided that LOL

And btw who exactly is this who wrote the reply above? Name yourself, you know "for full transparency". Because whomever this is or was should NOT be a mod, clearly abuses power when feelings are hurt. You didnt do your work, ignored requests and when called out decided 2 hrs later to respond to me not selected for whatever new reason (revenge).

What a reminder today has been, back to working quietly.

You know me Brad, I dont play games with peoples money. Whoever this is played with mine today which I was letting go remember no biggie. But now seeing the response and new 2 hours later decision not to select, left out time stamps on purpose perhaps to not look bad... no thank you sir. I dont play that game. That Mod shouldnt be. I am sure it wont change anything but certainly turned me off after returning to do business here.

Hello,

You may have missed where we already addressed all those questions.

The domain was already edited out as per your request, prior to you saying not to delete it and to move it to Top Domains.

Which we responded to, reminding you that your listing was not selected for top domains, so we cannot move it to that section for you. You gave no alternative sections you wanted the listing to be in after removing the external contact email that resulted in the listing being in the external domains for sale section. You simply kept repeating you wanted it in top domains, which we cannot do since it was not selected.

The link to the Top Domains guide we provided Mutiple times explains how you can resubmit the domain later for reconsideration. Here's a quote of it:
With that in mind, members are allowed to submit unselected domains once per month (every 30 days) to give us an opportunity to select them the following month when there might be less submissions.
Guide Source

You are more than welcome to create a new listing in one of the other marketplace sections (Not top domains for 30 days) as long as it does not have external contact or marketplace references.
Due to time constraints and a variety of moderators handling these submissions, weโ€™re unable to provide specifics as to how we valuate domain names or which stage a domain made it to and/or why. If youโ€™d like to receive feedback on your domains, we recommend that you request a free appraisal from the community.

Please keep in mind that you can still list your domain names for sale on NamePros, even if they are not selected for the Top Domains section. Unlike paid marketplaces, our marketplace does not charge any fees and we do not collect any commissions: all of your profit is yours.
Guide Source

Alternately, as a VIP, you could also use the Professional Appraisal section (Is not indexed by search engines) to inquire about your domain instead of the free appraisal section.

We hope that information helps.

It is shocking to see why Mods can't be "transparent." In a Forum where Adults trade Domains and Discuss thousands of $ trades, there are still "those" people.
Are you saying that it is unfortunate that it was necessary to start working this way? I can't really gauge how you think about it.

I don't think you are missing out on anything JP not being in top domains. Less business gets done there than probably any other forum. People with $3M, $10M asking prices on an investor forum just get laughed at or ignored. Many I know check all the fixed price sections daily or weekly but go months without looking at top domains.

To be honest there is no need for it on an investor forum. If you are listing a LLL.com for a reasonable wholesale price every educated domainer will understand the value. When you are asking $3M people just think to themselves "get lost".

No, I mean: How can people be so rude and aggressive, write things that threaten families and mods. Especially in a forum where people are, who should be smart and interested to , ah forget it ๐Ÿ˜‚ some people are just โ€ฆโ€ฆ
Iโ€™m just shocked that this happens on namepros.
