@MadAboutDomains - What I am trying to do in Australia is pitch the vision of a 30 year project to develop a #PandemicInsuranceSystem so that the future generations have an insurance buffer to protect the community against huge financial losses such as when Covid reached Australia in 2020. Ebola has never become an airborne disease and so outbreaks of ebola usually are limited to a handful of countries so ebola insurance would be more likely to be in the form of epidemic insurance than pandemic. Current insurance laws in Australia make it very difficult to develop #EpidemicInsurance and #PandemicInsurance and so there is a lot of lobbying that needs to be done to awaken the #PandemicInsuranceIndustry in Australia. I don't think you will have a lot of epidemic/pandemic insurance based domains at the moment but I do think that there is a good case to nut out the politics so that these industries can exist and therefore opening domaining potential. I got an AI estimate that the Australian government would need to spend around $400 Billion AUD for a pandemic like event in Australia like Covid. A lot of Australians are concerned about our debt levels and I can see my project getting positive initial interest. Insurance systems like this have the potential to save money but also to prevent deaths.

I believe with targeted marketing, you could make a good flip with the right disease related domains. There would be a lot of doctors who would find the domains quite useful and doctors have significantly higher than average incomes. There are also a lot of Data Scientists moving into the medical technology market. Data scientists are often more tech savvy than doctors and so they are a potential good market for these domains. The insurance market is a market worth more than 7 trillion USD. I see no reason why innovation in the insurance industry for high risk events like pandemics and epidemics would open the door for significantly large insurance industries in this space.

A grand vision. But aren't we investing in domains here? There's a phrase that Jim Rohn said "people major in minor things". Of course this isn't a minor thing as a concept, it's massive, but it has the potential to remain minor and pointless.

Look at what's making money without the overhaul of entire systems like insurance and get selling. If we have to persuade someone that something is worth doing in order for a domain to be worth investing in then you're already losing. Life is short.
