EBay chief executive Meg Whitman has been ranked the most powerful women in business for the second straight year, according to a list published Monday by Fortune magazine. "The empress of eBay still rules Silicon Valley," Fortune said in announcing its annual list of the 50 most powerful women in business.

And to think she was initially skeptical of joining eBay when it was still Pierre Omidyar's little site with its ragtag little team.

Good move for her.

Well you cannot blame her since it was a leap of faith, but then again so was investing in that unknown company called MicroSoft back in the late 70's. Hmm risk takers do make more.
