I like how ExpiredDomains can show me how many TLDs use some domain name ("Number of TLDs the Domain Name is Registered"), but apparently it can't count more than 32.

So... Is there a place where I can easily find out how many TLDs are registered with some name? I mean, I type "hotels" and it says that 140 TLDs have this domain name registered. I type "bestcheaphotels" and it says 4 TLDs have this. Does such place exist?

So, I was already helped by a good member of the community and the answer is uniregistry.com.

But they seem to miss some that are taken, like .cc or .cn

I would strongly suggest you use a localised piece of software to check domains in other tlds.
Reason being the fact that you will always be missing crucial info like, nameservers, expiry dates, who owns the other extensions etc.

For example,
a name that is taken in many extensions but being parked (ie, by checking the nameservers) is totally different to a name that all other extensions contain live sites (ie. status code: 200)

just sharing my opinion

Hypersot, great advice - and was a kick in the but for me to complete reviews that should been be done weeks ago.

Found one name that I have (ccTLD, not total junk) that the .COM sold for over 1 Million....and is sadly sitting there undeveloped.

But to answer: tupungato - havent found a single tool that seems to be the catch all. I tend to use a few to just check simple things. Between NameCheap, DirectNic, and GoDaddy it seems to cover them all (I say seems, really dont know).

Have also found that anytime I do something on one of them I do it on all 3 - some one has a sale going, almost always. If I only check 2 I miss it...hahaha. Another quick check tool is namechkr - doesn't cover them all, maybe not 100% accurate, but has some additional features like looking for matching socials etc.

I'm sure there are better ways and tools, those just have been helpful.

Can't say much for reliability but I guess IWantMyName.com covers all tlds, give it a check and see if that helps you out.

internet.bs has a pretty decent search for this. But it does not cover all, only the most popular.

Are you referring to something like ZFbot or NameDroppers?

Maybe that will help!

So far the only tool from tools mentioned above that kind of works is Uniregistry.com. It may miss some extensions, but gives me a ballpark number and I can determine easily whether the name is registered in 3 TLDs or in 60 TLDs.

Here's a test I just made:

I own edio.whatever domain name. Results:

Uniregistry - 9 taken
Dynadot - 13 taken (but here you must count them yourself)
