As everyone knows the DVD time seems to have largely passed (I am waiting for VHS tapes to come back though, never got into those new fangled DVD things

). Nevertheless there have continued to be some sales of domain names including DVD even in 2018, but over last 5 years on NameBio the amounts for names including DVD have sold for pretty modest prices (65 sales, $467 average price, although many names not great in list).
You have an exact match which someone might want as acronym for a startup (positive DVD is easy to remember, negative it might be associated with old technology even if unrelated). Three letter names with .io extension have sold 601 times with average selling price of $1011). Here is the list:

So what do I think? I won't publicly list price here but noticed a sale in this exact name on GoValue comparators. If you are the person who bought it at that price, I think you got a good deal, and should be able to turn a tidy profit. I think the name should go for
at least mid $$$ and probably low $$$$ (or possibly even mid $$$$). If you look at the 3 letter .io names that sold for $10,000 and more all are either known words or acronyms. The ones around the $100 level are all seemingly random collections of three characters. Clearly yours is in the first category. Best of luck with it!\
ps There are of course other meanings of acronym, e.g. the ones at this acronym link
