Well, my initial thought was that people in financial trouble would type in something with "due creditcard" or creditcard due" in it when looking for help. My domain would then become one of the very first listings, no?

That's not how it works. You aren't going to be the first listing on Google when someone types in 'credit card due' just because you bought this domain. Otherwise I would go and register 'july4thfireworkssale.com' for $10 and make a killing when people search for 'july 4th fireworks sales'.

Well, I did say that, but later stated: "I think a domain named pornvisawar would rank high on that search"

You are of course correct in your example, but a site with that name with content covering fireworks, fourth of july, sale etc. would be pretty high up there. In my case, a page named duecreditcard with links to banks that may assist and some general advise around the subject ... Why should any enduser be sceptical about that?

Actually, if you did the search like that with the quotation marks, for an exact match search there are only about 50k results.
You seriously don't seem to understand how things work. A search for 'blue red green purple' brings up 985,000,000 results...yet blueredgreenpurple.com is available to hand register.

Again, you missed the point I was trying to make. I never suggested that one should register blueredgreenpurple.com just because it brings up 985,000,000 results. You're trying too hard to get off topic.

I agree with @todaygold on what he just said.
@todaygold: While we're on the subject, please explain what he would have to do for "duecreditcard.com" to be listed on the first result page when searched on Google.

What is your intention with this domain? To develop it? How are you going to get traffic to it? Are you trying to sell it? If so, to who?

I'm trying to get it off topic? Since this is an appraisal thread, at least I provided a value for the domain. So far, you haven't given an amount you think it is worth or who any legitimate buyers would be.

I agree with @todaygold on what he just said.

A search for 'credit card due' brings up websites from well-known established players like Discover card, Capital One, Credit Karma, etc. So it would be pretty much impossible for the OP to get this brand new domain on the first page with that search term...Discover card definitely isn't going to get bumped off the first page because the OP setup a one-page website on 'duecreditcard.com'.

... Why should any enduser be sceptical about that?

because what matters in SEO is (exact) search volume and cpc
if you check with Google Adwords (Tools->Keyword Planner) both of the above are 0 for "due credit card(s)"

meaning that you would rank higher than a random name with the same content/backlinks/etc for these exact searches if there were any ...but there are none. which commands zero domain value from SEO/lead generating/cpc/search position/traffic perspective

Todaygold: Honestly? I am contemplating to sell, develop or scratch - I am new in here -still learning!

Could be I'd also use my domain expiredcredit (.com) as a main site and then link to these from posts within that again. For instance: "Credit card troubles? - press link for a list of companies that may help, along with some general advice"

4pm: Yes, everything would be zero for now... No site is up and running, no contents, no nothing

Disclaimer: Please note I am not aiming to step on any toes here - I'm learning -and asked for an appraisal. Grateful for ALL input

the amount of searches is not what you can increase by establishing a site, filling it with content, doing seo etc... searches is what people type into google search bar, and they wont type "due credit card" even if you build a site on this domain full of quality content and a lot of keywords in headers etc. you'll need to change their language habits to have them type in those words in that particular order. not going to happen...

searches is not search results. you probably are mixing them up...
