Hey i just got DropDaddy.com regged, What are your thoughts guys?

Hmmm dropdaddy...you didn't get the idea for the name from GD did ya I personaly don't care for it as Godaddy is original and can't/shouldn't be duplicated...but goodluck

Convince Bob Parsons that the name TDNAM sucks and then sell it to him to use for his backorder/aftermarket services (of course, the services suck almost as bad as the name). I personally like DropDaddy but there could be TM issues with GD over it.

yeah i had a feeling about the tm issues but i mean daddy is like zilla or boy, you can put like nearly every keyword infront of it, daddy is not tm'd so i dont see a problem here.

IMO Daddy is not like zilla as adding zilla to the end of a name adds a little something to it where daddy really doesn't. If your just trying to sell this name then yeah I would buy it for low $XX if I was interested..if you plan on developing a site to use as your own business I urge you to get a more original name? goodluck either way

Thanks at the moment im just focused on buying and selling, with no developing in between, lol yes, im not your usual domainer.

A while back, a forum member said that Bob Parsons paid them a healthy sum for "tdnam" in a different extension. Many of us were advising him to just give up the name to GD, and criticizing him for grabbing it to begin with. Well, finding out if that story was true, and whatever the outcome - might have an impact on this situation. I don't remember the NP member name, and I'm half asleep, but do a search.

i think he will be safe. If you can TM the word daddy then its lame. Would godaddy start suing people who own megadaddy, bigdaddy etc etc. Nice domain good luck!

Be careful about how you phrase your communication with the big daddy. That being said I don’t think the name alone is questionable and I like it so I’ll reiterate please let us know how it goes.

Change of plan, looks like it will be developed now for a drop related site, but it will have a twist, it will also be related with a new drop site im part of, should be up by next month Thanks for your comments guys
