While dot club is better than many of the new gTLDs, they still need to make sense. The dot com version might make sense as a news site about drones... but a club? I don't see any value here, sorry.

I agree value is in the eyes of the buyer, but there is still a scope to value domains at.

For example what would you value 329-23rifee02wnf0ioewfnvwpphie3-qewvcmpqfcqnf13-931.com at vs say agenericname.com ? Clearly the latter would be much more valuable.

Why bother asking for an appraisal then... Of course a domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You attack when someone takes their time to give you their honest opinion, when they did not have to...

Yeah but its trafficked, in that it was getting a fair bit of traffic and had some quality posts on it. He was a professional domain buyer for years and his words were "I see an unpolished gem that has a lot of potential".

And yes value is in the eye of the beholder, one domain might not be worth a fart to some people but to someone else it might be just what they're looking for.

I'll never say that a domain has no value. Every domain has value.

And yes the latter would be more valuable but if the first was getting traffic and had earnings then it would be more valuable. That's not all that it comes down to these days but is the biggest selling point.

If I had a dollar for every person that has said that to me only for me to later sell that same domain for 3 figures well, I'd have about $20 dollars.

When I first registered dronewatchdogs.com I asked for an appraisal for it on DP. Someone said that it isn't worth anything and doesn't have any value at all because its a plural. Where as dronewatchdog.com would be worth more. But 3 months later I sold it for 2.5k turning everything he said on its head.

It just goes to show, you should NEVER say a domain doesn't have any value. Every domain has value.

I always love to hear what people say about .clubs and others

I really like them myself and think they are the best example of why differing TLD's matter so much because .club means club simple as right? And club well that could be anything from dog club to randomers club and could be the official website of a real club such as your local book club or angling club or some other community club etc.

But there's a stigma attached and an air of uncertainty about them and no doubt some of the latest TLD are just ridiculous and make you wonder what kind of people have authority other that part of the Internet.

I mean come on .sucks .meme .fyi, .lol, .foo .boo .red .blue .black .green .pink horse .beer .wine .vodka .duck, .dog and .unicorn come on where does it .end!
