This is a very common term in computing, but I could see problems from Google as DoubleClick has been around for a decade or so with its first archive in 1997 (not owned by them and unsure when it was acquired).

Park it carefully or not at all.

As far as value, reg fee for now but I could see this string selling.

Good potential there, BUT "doubleclick" is indeed a trademark registered by Google Inc.
After a facile trademark check i can say that you you would probably face trouble if trying to sell to an individual or company dealing with assets that appertain to the Nice classes No. 16,35,42.
Trademark issues are quite tricky, however there are still many options for promoting your domain without having any legal problems in my opinion.

Could you give any example?

Probably anything else other than advertising services. Google doesn't own the term "double click," they own the trademark for that term in the field of advertising (more or less)

An other nice domain hack with the new gTLDs. You can develop the domain into a internet tech related website. Low $xxx

Out of interest, do domain hacks count as trademark infringement?

Let's say I was to register BritishTele.com, would that really be an infringement of BT?

Most likely, yes. It all boils down to the likelihood of confusion.
