IIRC in the past, other TLDs were required reserved by ICANN, I guess that is changed now as well if guru.bike could be reged. Ugly reg but interesting info

I think the approach was bike is short for biking. And if it was agreed that there will not be a competing dot bikeS, then you either want a dot bike or you stick to a traditional domain extension.
