Domains VS Stocks

Would you invest it in STOCKS, since its very low?

OR

Buy 1 or 2 Domains?

Stocks are worth a flat value -- period. Their value is not in your control.

With domains, you can develop, monetize, and use as a means to build a business around. I'd take a great domain over stock. :imho:

Yeah, agreed. A decent domain name with work, prehaps developments can gain a huge amount of value in a relatively short space of time. The great thing is, you can to a degree have control over this.

Stocks on the other hand are slightly detached from reality most of the time.

I'd go with both, but it largely depends on your time horizon for the stock aspect. I would also not just go with one or two domains, there are some great values out there that can be had for a fraction of the total you would be willing to put into 1 or 2 domains. Either route it's best to be diversified.

Hard to say.... even if you decide on domains, what domains to invest in.. or even in stocks, what types of companies to invest in.. the economy is so unsure right now. Other countries are sure to rise and become superpowers too.. invest in those names? Don't know.

With an investment of only 12k though, you could invest in me and double it in 5 years guaraunteed :D no stocks or domains.

Investing in domains at the moment would be very risky. If I had 50K to invest, I would stick it somewhere safe until after the inauguration. Try a 6 month CD.

With all the new TLDs hitting the market, I have decided to put all of my domain money into .COMs. I think all other extensions will continue to lose value for the foreseeable future.

Now .TEL, just what we needed. Another TLD.
