DOMAINMARKET selling for millions, is it worth it?

Just read on Frager Factor that Mike Manns DOMAINMARKET.COM is up for sale and has had 3 big money bids already, is it worth it?

As many people have said on other threads most of the domains on DOMAINMARKET are hand registered rubbish and that their renewal fees probably eat up all the revenue, I cannot believe how stupid a major company can be to purchase something like this...what do you guys think?

I dunno, but I expect that potential buyers will scrub the accounts carefully. If the company is already profitable it can sell for n years of projected revenue. If it isn't, the potential could still be there but the portfolio might need trimming/cleaning. We need to see the books

A potential buyer should comb through and approximate the ratio of mediocre names to gems, but most my domains are "hand registered rubbish" and sell for great profit. The man is good at seeing value where others do not, he is still active in the aftermarket.

It looks like they are an Inc. 500 company so they must have some decent revenue coming in...
