I just signed up with DomainHop. Does it allow you to advertise your DomainHop URL to receive traffic ?

I just started using an AutoSurf website (AutoHits.info), so far I've gotten 31 unique visitors and 0 clicks. :)

below is a quote from the domain hop FAQ
Do you have a minimum amount of traffic needed to join?
No. If you only get one impression a day, then that is fine with us. We will increase your traffic by retaining users through our content oriented destination sites.

This is awesome! they actually advertise you on other related sites that get clicks, this meens if you have gameville.com parked and its getting good hits, but gamezer.info is getting crappy hits, gamezer.info will be advertised on gameville.com to make you get more hits for nothing!! This is an incredible feature to have, im very happy with domainhop.com, if we just sat here with a domain name for 1 year without advertising it would advertise itself!!

Autosurfers seem to be suspect considering the TOS, they are meta-refresh...

And PTR's certainly seem to be "bulk e-mailing"....

I don't necessarily know how they'd find out, but I would be careful folks.

They may be bulk email, but they are all opt ins as well. The people that receive them have agreed to get them. Also, you're not offering an incentive to click on the link, you are simply advertising. I don't see it any different than advertising in an ezine, link trade or a banner ad.

The only thing I'll point out is that the TOS says "bulk mailing" , not "spam". So Opt-in or not, it is bulk mailing...

You're right in that I don't see much of a difference b/n that and banner ads, but the TOS dominates.

I received 3 clicks so far on one of my domains. Unfortunately that domain had 2 uniques only ! That brought my CTR to a 150.00%, which will probably get my account banned. :(

And all the clicks have a timestamp of 9:54 P.M.!

150% CTR won't be an auto-banning I don't think, unless the IP is from anywhere that could be connected to you. I've had that happen on other PPC programs that are thought to be much more strict that I wasn't banned from (Of course, didn't cheat, someone just liked 2 links in an ad).

If they get upset, just tell them to check the IP's if it really wasn't you.

"Domainhop Managed Names"

I just added 15 or so names to my domainhop account and it has been almost 2 days since doing that. Making a little $$$ right now in this short time, but when I select to have domainhop manage my names and descriptions etc, I noticed MANY that were not placed in categories relevant to the name. (For instance: one of my adult oriented domain names were listed in "Automotive".) I have since modified these myself. Of course, the plus side to this is that you do have FULL control over how your domain name is categorized and you can choose listings only, pop-ups or not, etc. I'll give it a month and see what the results are.

I registered today at DH. Do you now the time they need to put the domains(34) in the correct catergory or to manage them with metas ?

Thx. Starbucks

Usually takes a day or less, but it is Turkey Day, give them til Friday or so.
Also, once they do, go back and correct their mistakes, 'cause chances are that they'll make at least one.
