I'm a little bit confused here!
Reason
If Apple Inc. have a trademark on the word Apple 'followed by so many other companies that doesn't makr any sense'.
Now, the big part Apple owns
trademark on iPhone
and there is iPhone hacks running from 2007
Apple owns trademark on iPad
and their is iPadhelp and iPad Insight
on Mac
and there is MacRumors and Cult of Mac
Same works with Google
Google owns Android
and there are a lot of websites running with Android name in them
AndroidPolice
AndroidAuthority
AndroidCentral

If "trademark" is a serious issue then how, these websites are running from so, long.
You're guys help would be appreciated
Thanks a lot for this great Forum np Rocks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
They may be running but are legally not allowed as per the policies of respective companies. It is up to the Companies to pursue or not to pursue any legal action.

Apple can give permission(license) to these websites to use their trademark for whatever reason they choose.
The doesn't mean others have the same permission.
Also, the official legal recourse of a company is the Trademark Infringement lawsuit. However, most issues like this never get to that stage because big companies hire one of dozens of companies who will harass anyone who even dares to use the company name in a domain.
SO, unless you have a LEGAL ARGUMENT that you are not infringing their trademark.
AND, you have the MONEY for lawyers to defend it in court.
It's not worth the hassle. DROP THE DOMAIN.
Been there done that.

if you own applewhatever.com and park it the system might select ads for computer or apple competitors. If the lawyers don't like this they can go after you.If you are offering it for sale then it can be interpreted as cybersquatting on the brand.

Operating a website about a product is much different than parking it.

Generally if you park a TM containing domain people will automatically assume that you are a cybersquatter and companies won't treat you kindly.

As a domainer you have to be more careful than a website operator. Doesn't mean that the website operators don't get into trouble.
