B3n refused to sell dh.bz to me for $15 after I had posted SOLD. He said that csdomains had offered a higher price through PM. After some PMs between us, he tried to hide the fact that he listed dh.bz for $15 by removing the prices. The prices of domains sold in previous domain sales threads by him were not removed. This is the first time I have problems buying domains on NamePros. The following are the details of the PMs we exchanged. If any moderator wants to check the PMs between B3n and me, PM me.

This is the first PM I received from him after I asked him for his PayPal address:

Hi,

My Paypal is [email protected]. Do you have a namecheap.com account?

Thanks, Ben.

The following are the rest of the PMs between us:

Hi, I've just had an offer from csdomains of $25.00. Let me know if you want to go any higher. Thanks.

You posted the domain at $15 and I posted sold. Now you want to reneg ?

Well csdomains PMed me just before you, but as your PM was on top I replied to it before reading his.

Do you want to go any higher, or not?

Thanks.
I posted sold first. If you want to reneg on this deal, I will report you to the NamePros staff.

I'm just trying to be fair as I can here. The prices aren't fixed and are just for guidance. Nowhere in my post do I say "first to post SOLD gets the domain".
This is not how you do business here on NamePros.

Do you want to make a higher offer or not?

Sellers who renege on domain deals should be banned. I'm absolutely turned off by this kind of behaviour. >:(

DomainProfits,

As I told you via PM, nowhere in my post do I say "first to post SOLD gets the domain", this post is in the "Fixed Price/Offer" part of the forum, and there are plenty of other posts which will accept the highest offer: sorry if I didn't make that clear when I first made the post.

The above statement wasn't there when I posted SOLD.

If what you said is true, then all the other sales threads in this forum with prices listed were not offers to sell the domains at the prices. The sellers can simply back out if the first person posted SOLD and the second person who was too late but wanted the domain can simply PM the seller with a higher price to buy the domain. Then what is the purpose of posting sold in sales threads, we could simply start an auction for the domains.

I know; I added it after you misunderstood this thread, so others wouldn't.

Look at the thread below this, you'll notice it says: "Post SOLD to claim or PM me!" Mine never said that.

Also, check out the sticky: "please do NOT post derogatory remarks in the Sales threads". Thanks.

Now you see why the DNOA logo is a valuable asset, I think anyone that sells domain here should be required to enlist in the DNOA. For more information on what the DNOA does for both sellers and buyers click the logo under my name to read what standards a DNOA member must live up to.

I have seen threads like this way too many times and I am glad that DNOA is around. Good luck with your sale and this dispute. I did not mean to bust your thread but this was a great example to show all members what the DNOA stands for.

You added it only after you chose to sacrifice your reputation here on NamePros for $10.

Sales threads with prices listed are automatically offers to sell unless otherwise stated or listed in Domains For Sale - Auctions forum. Like you said, this is the Domains For Sale - Fixed Price/Offer forum.

I am posting a fact, not a derogatory remark.
