I want to start a thread about using Automatic programs & techniques for acquiring valuable domains.
I remember the days when I used to sit in front of my computers with over 10 web browsers open on each, trying to acquire valuable domains. Hitting enter & refresh frantically at different registrars utilizing their resources to grab the domains I wanted.
Nowadays, I use home brewed automatic programs to grab the domains I want. Basically, a program can grab domains for you like if you were sitting in front of the computer.
The next question is what will happen next? With such tools, many are avoiding the steep auction house prices of $69+ per domain, they can catch themselves for under $10 USD with their programs & registrar pricing that grabs the domain.
I feel companies like SnapNames, ENOM & Other biggies will soon feel the pressure. All of a sudden, I am noticing companies like BuyDomains acquiring such names at the same rate.
For example, Snapnames was down for a while as soon as domain tasting died & finally came back online with a facelift after being down for multiple days.
Now is the best time to all join & try to change the domain industry. If we can programatically beat the bigger companies to the same domains they are going after, we can hurt their business - since most their customers are NP'ers.
& save ALOT on domain reg fees.
I've posted some tools here & have gotten great feedback. I appreciate everyone's interest & just felt like this post was long due - because the domaining industy is changing & now's your chance to acquire the domain property you deserve at a low price.
I'd like to take the chance to pioneer new tools you can use right away & see results. As a team, we can really join to grab great domains. While you can't expect to grab the best names right away, after acquiring good names like llll.net's, dictionary words & the random llll.com's (to name a few) today, we can mark our territory for the future & continue to try & get lucky often in beating the big companies.
