Hello,

I noticed that there are some absolutely great lists of expiring domains available through this forum. But, know I can't figure out how I can possibly try and get my hands on any of them, before they are all picked up by other domain name speculators.

For example, I just searched through the list for odditysoftwares domains that expired yesterday (Mar 13) and after trying about 100 of them, found that they had all been picked up already.

Any helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Brian

Unless you go through Pool.com or another drop catching service, you have about a 0% chance of successfully hand registering a domain on the date it drops. That goes for all domains, not just the good ones.

Read what SDSInc has to say in the following thread. From my experience, it's right on the money:

I would have to disagree here. You don't need pool sevices for all kind of domains unless you are after domains with traffic or generic one's or 3/4 letters.

Many good domains DROP without being noticed. Try http://www.justdropped.com and see if you find what your looking for.

If you have figured out a way to hand register domains on the initial date that they drop, I'm all ears and would love to know how. The registrars grab all of them and test them for traffic. You have to wait until the name drops for a 2nd or 3rd time, if at all, before you'll get it.
