Domain Name Server Change Problem

I registered cod4.org a few hours ago and immediately changed the name servers to the correct ones for my server.

4 hours later, the domain still redirects to Namecheap's parking page, even after I did a DNS flush on my computer

What I don't get is if I try to visit the domain with a proxy, it goes straight to my server, like it should.

Why is it that the name redirects properly to its correct server on a proxy, but still goes to Namecheap's parking page on a normal Internet connection?

Try flushing your browser's cache

DNS caching on your local computer. Everyone else is seeing the proper site.

With windows, try
[Start] -> Run -> ipconfig /flushdns
Hit enter, restart your web browser.

It could be the ISP DNS cache. Then you just have to wait.

my guess is you went to the site before changing the DNS and your ISP cached that request now you will just have to wait for ISP to update it records

Give at least 24 hours to update it fully. Also to refresh use Ctrl+F5 instead of simple F5.

I agree 4 hours is not very much time it could take 24 to 48 hours for the changes to take place. my suggestion is to wait out the time and if you still have trouble then try the others.
