Domain Name SCAM

I have been contacted by cheapdomains.com

They said someone was going to register .net version of my domain name

In order to protect my trademark I should deposit $900 to their account

I consider it as a sacm and I'm not going to deposit any money

What do you think?

How would they know that they are TRYING to buy it. Its not like they need approval (unless cheapdomains owns it).
