Today I have by accident discovered that one of my domain (PolovniAutomobili.net) lost age without dropping. The domain was registered in 2006. I transfered it last year with auth code from GoDaddy to Register.it.
Today Whois shows creation year in 2017 - however last year it was 10 years old with creation date in 2006.

Hosterstats shows that it never deleted from 2006 on:
polovniautomobili.net Domain Hosting History - HosterStats.com
Old Hoster New Hoster Month / Year Zone Date Transaction
BODIS.COM UNDEVELOPED.COM December 2017 2018-01-01 Transfer
EFTYDNS.COM BODIS.COM July 2017 2017-08-01 Transfer
BODIS.COM EFTYDNS.COM May 2017 2017-06-01 Transfer
DOMAINCONTROL.COM BODIS.COM April 2017 2017-05-01 Transfer
RENEWYOURNAME.NET DOMAINCONTROL.COM January 2017 2017-02-01 Transfer
HOST1PLUS.COM RENEWYOURNAME.NET December 2016 2017-01-01 Transfer
HOSTMONSTER.COM HOST1PLUS.COM October 2009 2009-11-01 Transfer
JOKER.COM HOSTMONSTER.COM May 2007 2007-06-01 Transfer
N/A JOKER.COM December 2006 2007-01-01 New

Has anybody discovered a similar case?

Not sure why when you are looking it up on other whois services - it is returning a 2017-12-20T00:00:00Z created date/time stamp.

You may need to call the registrar to see if it is an error or their end, or you can report it through the ICANN whois inaccuracy complaint form and see if that gets you any resolution.

The registry whois server output says 2006. So the name did not drop.
However, if you query the registrar whois server you could get a different result.
Because some registrars (Enom for example) record the date the domain was transferred to them as the creation date. Others will just use the registry date.
You can transfer it to another registrar, and get a clean whois record with aligned dates :)

Thanks, I didn't know about this option. The domain age probably will not be a problem to an enduser. For me it is interesting how this happend.

If I understand you correctly the domain age could be correctly shown again after transfer to another registrar!?
