I just received a email asking if one of my keyword domains is for sale. The domain is *******.us and there are all kinds of trademarks for the term but its pretty generic. The company that is inquiring holds a few themselves I'm pretty sure. What should I say or do?

What do you know about the company inquiring?

I would probably let them know that although you didn't intend to sell the name, you would accept $1000* for it.

*suggestion, replace with your fair price

Your domain does seem pretty generic so I would tell them they can make an offer for the domain but they are not getting it just like that.

Screw this. He keeps asking for a price even though I told him its not for sale but I would sell if the offer was good. Why doesnt this guy just make an offer if he wants it so bad? I really don't care if I sell it or not personally.

I would definately give them a price. If you're not hot on selling it, tell them that and give them a high price. Would you be happy with $2k? Tell them 2k then, and stick to your guns if they counteroffer less. You should be able to get at least $1000.

I saw your PM of the company and it really looks like a perfect end user for the domain. Go for it!

My advice would be to sell it instead of holding it if it comes to an offer of 600$ and above.

If you don't really care about the domain, just sell it away to him for how much he is asking. If you do not like the price he is offering, ignore him. Tell him I will not sell the domain less than $1,000 please stop bugging me with offers.

he is asking for a price because that is what they use if it goes to a dispute.

if u give a price, most past cases that was an indicator of bad faith, even if he is asking u to give a price.

the people on the panel are not very open minded.
never give a price.
tell him to make an offer within 5 days or refrain from contacting you again ,
