Domain Expiration date discrepancy between GoDaddy and Internic?

Have a question to pose regarding registration. I've got a .com that's reg'd at godaddy, they claim expired a couple of days ago. However, a search on the Internic Whois claims the domain is reg'd until the same date in 2012 (1 more year). since I bought the domain on ebay a while ago, I'm not real sure who is right on this one. Is this a case of simple error, or could there be some type of hold put on the domain by godaddy in case I don't renew? I reported the discrepency to gd, and they said the domain expired. Thanks for any insight.

From what I understand if a domain passes it's expiry date, it will show 2012.
In fact I currently have one now that is expired and is showing 2012
godaddy panel shows 2011
But if you didn't renew it, then yes - it would be expired.

OK, that is the same as I am experiencing, so I assume then this is normal. Thanks for the info!

Yes it is normal to show this in the expired state
once you renew it will go back to a match :)
