Domain Brokers...?

Does anyone know whether there is a domain broker service that connects a motivated seller with the END USER? Someone that accepts a domain for brokering, does the appropriate research, contacts end users, offers the domain for sale, establishes a minimum price with the seller and takes a % of the sales?
Unlike Sedo, TDnam or others, which are simply auction services, is there anyone that actually does the classic footwork of finding the enduser(s) and connecting them with the opportunity to buy the domain?

This may be a relatively "complicated" description of what i have in mind and is probably done, if so, can anyone point me in the direction?

thanks

maybe i should have been more "precise". i meant for medium sales with the expectancy of maybe 10k +/- a few... :hehe: you know, something for "the regular domainer"...

although the Sedo tip is appreciated, i never even considered their services for brokering, while it should really have been an obvious thought. ;)

Actually Sedo did very little to find a buyer for for vodka.com. It's the seller who told them whom to contact :hehe:
I don't know if Sedo does a lot of brokering to end users in addition to listing domains. Ditto for Great Domains.
Many brokers are specialized in certain market niches so it would help to specify which kind of name you have in mind.

see, that's the thing, i don't have one in mind. it just spooked through my mind that actually no one is actively advertising that they'd broker domains, with active search for endusers, etc. Overall brokering, not specialized in one area only, just an overall domain broker, much like an agent for an actor or singer. naturally, the inquisitve mind in me came to life and started wondering, thus the question.

It does seem most domains are FSBO (For Sale By Owner). And just like in real life does the owner really know the best value and how to get the deal done? Mostly not.

I bet there are some experienced domainers here that deal a lot with end users that could be exceptional Domain Realtors. (Yep, use your real picture and everything)

This to me seems like a niche market that hasn't been tapped into much.

DomainRealtors.com is gone, but NamesAgent.com is there. ;)

Wrong! Apparently, we have a Chinese "Agent" reading this thread very carefully, he ran and reg'd.

should we launch a countdown until the domain surfaces to be for sale?

Anyways, does anyone have knowledge whether such a "Domain Realtor" Service exists?

Brokering domain sales is an interesting concept. Apparently there are some out there, but none that I am aware of. Acting much like a realtor, tracking down potential end-users and arranging the sale of the domain. I think its definetly something worth looking or investing into as I believe it could do very well if someone did it "right".

gjsys.... you make me think... I like that about you.

:hehe: it's not like i haven't had the EXACT same train of thought, thus the post. I am not surprised that "the Fonz" has done it before, as i am sure many others on NP have brokered domains. However, i am missing the professional element in this... thought enough? :)

I know that address, I've dealt with that person before on another forum, long long ago. :)

I've yet to meet any full-time domain brokers though.

I hear yah! I think their is definetly room to get into the field. In fact, you got me thinking about it. On a decent size sale - say like 10k - if the Broker takes 20% - 2k in the pocket ... If you can broker a few deals a month in that range, your doing pretty good. Hmmmm....... Hmmm.......

I guess it's my time to bury my own foot up my a$$ for opening my mouth too soon about an opportunity in the domain industry. ;) I certainly expect commission if you start selling/brokering your arse off and turn tens of thousands/mth. Just added rep is not going to do it then. :hehe:
Anyways, glad to have kicked off a train of thought, hope it works out.

 no worries, if i had the intention of kicking something like that off, i wouldn't have mentioned a word, started the operation and then offered my services with reduced rates for NPers.
Since my job is keeping me more than busy (climbing the corporate ladder), i wouldn't be able to assure a possible client my utmost attention. In which case, it would lead to lacking customer satisfaction, and we all know how that would end. Thus, whoever has the stamina and customer service insight to do this, i'm more than happy to watch anyones success and assist in clearing up misconceptions or provide answers. That's my little contribution to something that will hopefully work out for someone.
So, Justin & HasRob, get crackin'... :)
